13-08-2013 - In July, Kooiker Distributie took two new DAF box trucks into use. These trucks will be used for Heineken Brouwerijen Noord-Nederland in Drachten.
Both trucks show off the new Heineken look, which is used for the
distribution of goods from Heineken, Amstel, Brand Bier and Vrumona.
Furthermore, these trucks have been fitted with two substitute-driver
seats. The reason for this is that we have trained two drivers to become
Practical Refresher Course Trainers. This relates to the Professional
Competency Requirements Decree that applies to all drivers in Europe.
Kooiker Distribution is now able to train drivers by itself for Het
Nieuwe Rijden for instance (this is a concept of driving cars with
computer-controlled engines, leading to significant fuel savings). As
such, we enable our drivers to obtain points for the refresher course
obligation and we can reduce the consumption by all trucks thanks to
